STATEMENT

Growing up I was surrounded by makers, artists, tinkerers and storytellers. These people shaped the person I am today and are the inspiration behind Arlilu. They taught me the idea of hard work, of trying new things, of not being afraid to fail, and to think outside the box. But most importantly they taught me to listen, ask questions, and never stop learning. Throughout this journey of designing and building handcrafted objects, I intend to tell their stories and tell the stories of the people I meet along the way.

OUR NAME

Charlie

My dad is a big inspiration for most everything I do.  This project is no different. I wanted the name to mean something to me.  So every time I write it, say it, or think it, my dad’s memory is with me.

Lucy

My dog Lucy is my best friend and does most everything with me. Another motivation for this project is to spend as much time with her as I can. She provides me with so much joy. She has been apart of my life for the last 13 years and is a big part of my story.
